Well, I guess a picture is telling 1000 words on this one. To the word’s defence… I bet I can think of more than a thousand pictures about one word.
This idea came to me as I was walking in the light rain and seeing people on cellphones. I thought it would be neat if their little antennas could sprout umbrellas. Who cares about the hair… protect the equipment.
It might be possible to sell umbrellas with little slip-ons for the antenna. It would certainly be fun to try
Let me know if you are interested in going into production.

How about Cellbrella – Celebrate the Cellbrella – retail outlets would sell the cellbrella
ooo – cellbrella sounds great!
By the way… this is probably not a patentable invention because it is an aggregation and each part does what it does without any synergy as a whole. It is very similar to the famous example given for an aggregation that being an eraser on the end of a pencil.
There could be invention in the clip though… or the way the umbrella is dealt with for compact space or light weight construction, etc. And of course the trademark. We just would have to watch that we do not start calling the item a cellbrella as that weakens if not completely diminishes a trademark. It is a Cellbrella brand Cellphone Umbrella
I could really have used one of these on my trip for my little digital camera. Maybe a miniature umbrella for all your hand held electronics?
