Some people say there is nothing new under the sun. Well… patents are given only to new things. They also can’t be obvious and there are various other limitations but regardless, it has to be new.
Many inventions are improvements. Due to all hierarchies being part of a single hierarchy, everything is based on prior creation. But perhaps when you can say a “better” this or that, then you are more obviously dealing with an improvement. Still, while improvements are important, they might be considered a lesser form of invention in my mind anyway.
This invention is a better broom based on the comfort or familiarity of a hockey stick.
The other thing to note here is that it took probably 10 minutes to make. So you can do this too if you want. And you can do things like this if you want! Stop just going out and consuming and consuming. Make what you need from what you already have.
